  1. What do the Novel Coronavirus (n-CoV) and the SAFETY Act have in common?
  2. They were both topics addressed this week by TSA Chief Counsel Francine Kerner at the Fox Rothschild 2020 Airline Symposium.

Chief Counsel Kerner is at the forefront of the Federal Government’s response to the coronavirus and was heavily involved in the new screening and quarantine requirements that affect both cargo and passenger aviation.  She provided firsthand insights into how the Government was able to move so quickly to get the new requirements in place, and the role of industry stakeholders in moving the process forward.

In addition, Chief Counsel Kerner spoke about the SAFETY Act, and the benefits the program has in protecting against terrorist threats and promoting innovation in aviation security.

For those of you who could not be with us for the 2020 Airline Symposium and hear these “insider’s” comments, we are happy to be able to make the presentation materials available to our readers by following this LINK.
