There were no shocking results from the 11 governor’s races, and all have an official winner. Democratic governors won in the states of Delaware, North Carolina, and Washington, as was predicted. Republican governors won in Indiana, Missouri, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Utah, West Virginia, and Vermont as was also projected. The toss-up state of Montana also went to Republicans. With those results, Republicans control 27 of the governor’s mansions across the country compared to 23 for Democrats.
