As employers actively work to prepare for 2023, taking note of employment-related legislative activity is key. Following robust 2022 legislative sessions in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, employers have a number of labor and employment laws with which to become familiar as there has been a renewed focus on non-pandemic-related workplace issues. Legislators paid significant attention to, antidiscrimination statutes, union-related laws, and paid leave among other things.
