  • Vermont: Charity Clark, a Democrat, has announced her candidacy for the Vermont AG position. Clark has been an Assistant AG for seven years, including the last four as chief of staff, and lists consumer protection and criminal justice reform as her top priorities. As we previously reported, the incumbent AG, TJ Donovan, announced he will not seek reelection.
  • Kansas: Chris Mann, a former police officer and prosecutor, has submitted filings to seek the Kansas Democratic Party’s nomination for AG. Mann, who is presently running unopposed in the Democratic primary, would compete against the winner of the Republican primary, which includes former U.S. attorney Tony Mattivi, former Secretary of State Kris Kobach, and State Senator Kellie Warren.  Incumbent AG Derek Schmidt, a Republican, announced that he is running for Governor.
  • Colorado: Texas attorney Stanley Thorne has filed paperwork to run as an independent in the Colorado AG race after an unsuccessful bid to appear on the Republican primary ballot. Thorne, a former conservative talk radio host, initially won a spot on the Republican primary ballot but was later removed after party officials determined he lacked the necessary legal qualifications.
