A short new video, entitled A Forum for Business Disputes: The Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, has recently been released. The film was produced by the Court System’s Commercial Division Advisory Council.

The film features commentary from: (a) leaders of the Court System, including Chief Judge Janet DiFiore and former Chief Judges Jonathan Lippman and Judith S. Kaye, (b) various Judges of the Commercial Division, (c) several General Counsel of major corporations, and (d) experienced lawyers who practice in the Division.

The film highlights the reliability, consistency and fairness of the Commercial Division, as it has evolved to meet the varied and complex needs of the business community in New York and around the world. The Commercial Division regularly seeks to reinvent itself by adopting new rules and procedures that are designed to promote the effective and efficient resolution of business disputes. As discussed in the film, the dedication of the Judges and the ability of the Division to adapt to the fast-paced international business community make it a uniquely attractive forum for business litigation, as well as a model for other courts across the globe.
