The FY 2014 spending bill also allocates $6 million to “implement a new program integrity effort within the 340B Drug Pricing Program.” The Joint Explanatory Statement directs the Director of the 340B Program to brief the House and Senate appropriations committees within 45 days of enactment of the bill on new plans for additional Program oversight activities. The briefing should include, among other things, a timetable for new program integrity regulations that address compliance concerns raised by the Office of Inspector General and the Government Accountability Office.
