Maine Revenue Services has announced that it has automatically extended the 2019 filing deadline (on extension) for Maine corporate income taxpayers from October 15, 2020 to November 16, 2020.

According to Maine Revenue Services, any 2019 Maine corporate income tax return (Form 1120ME) or Maine franchise tax return (Form 1120B-ME) that was otherwise due on extension by October 15, 2020 may now be filed by November 16, 2020 without late filing penalties. Other associated penalties, if applicable (such as potential underpayment penalties), and interest will continue to accrue.

Deadlines for other taxes and tax forms and/or deadlines for these forms in subsequent years are not affected by this change.
