CMS has changed the timetable in the wage index development process for FY 2015. The FY 2015 Hospital Wage Index Development Timetable and the preliminary wage index files can be found here.

Usually, CMS releases the preliminary wage index files with the Worksheet S-3 data and the occupational mix survey data in October of each year. However, CMS has already released the data for the FY 2015 period. Providers have until November 21, 2013 (not the usual date in early December of each year) to request revisions to the data. Providers should start now to review the files, so that any requests for adjustments can be made timely.
