This week, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) launched its online filing system for EEO-1 Component 1 Reports. The filing deadline is July 19, 2021. See 04-26-2021 Press Release.

The annual EEO-1 Component 1 Report is mandatory for all private employers with 100+ employees and federal contractors with 50+ employees that meet certain criteria. Filing employers must provide demographic information for all workers, and list this demographic information by job category.

Employers that have received a 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 notification letter from the federal government can access the online filing system here. Employers who have not received the notification letter can contact FilerSupport eeocdata.org for assistance. For more information and instructions on how to file a report, employers can visit the newly launched EEO-1 Component 1 Report website.
