The United States Energy Information Administration (“EIA”) issued a May 19th report titled:

Solar and Wind to be Larger Sources of United States Electricity Generation This Summer

This report is a component of EIA’s Summer Electric Outlook publication.

The increases are stated to be due to new capacity additions.

The increases for June-August 2022 are forecasted as:

Solar – 10 million megawatt hours increase

Wind – 8 million megawatt hours increase
