Two recent cases, one in the CJEU and one in the EAT, found that courts and tribunals in Great Britain had jurisdiction in principle to hear claims against individual defendants who were not domiciled here.

It's not what you say – improvement notice was breach of contract

In Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust v Starling the EAT confirmed that it was a breach of the implied duty of trust and confidence to issue an employee with an informal improvement notice before holding a meeting to discuss the employer's concerns.
 
 
 
New EU Whistleblowing Directive expected soon
 
The European Parliament has adopted the Whistleblowing Directive, which is now expected to be adopted by the Council and enter into EU law.
