In light of their long term objectives and potential future transactions, parties should consider the implications of model oil and gas Joint Operating Agreements’ standard provisions concerning changes in ownership, which could affect a party’s future withdraw from the JOA or transfer of its interests.

King & Spalding’s Vera De Brito de Gyarfas was featured in IFLR 1000’s Energy and Infrastructure 2017 for her representation of Anadarko on the Rovuma Area 4 LNG project, a six-year undertaking and the first of its kind in Mozambique. Anadarko has finalized host government agreements with the government that, along with accompanying legislation, set the entire legal framework in Mozambique for the project.
