Today the United States Department of Health and Human Services announced it is releasing $30 billion of the $100 billion Public Health Emergency & Social Services Fund. The funds will go to Medicare Fee For Service Providers in an amount based on their share of the total 2019 Medicare reimbursements to Fee for Service Providers.

The money is being direct deposited today (April 10, 2020) via ACH unless the provider receives checks from Medicare, in which case the checks are being mailed.

This money does not have to be repaid; however, providers receiving money have 30 days to attest they meet the terms and conditions for receipt. Attestation will open on April 13, 2020.

More information about the Emergency Fund is available on the HHS Website.
