The Institute of Recycling Industries (“ISRI”) announced in an April 18th news release that it is now the Recycled Materials Association (“ReMA”).

The new name was announced at the Association’s ISRI 2024 Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“ISRI” has been utilized by the trade association for the past 35 years. ISRI was formed in 1987 when the Institute of Scrap Iron and Steel merged with the National Association of Recycling Industries.

ReMA describes itself as the “Voice of the Recycling Industry” with over 1,700 member companies operating in more than 4,000 locations in the United States and around the world. The members include companies that process, broker and consume metals, paper, plastic, glass, textiles, rubber and electronics, whether sourced from commercial, residential, or industrial operations.

The Arkansas Recycling Association membership includes members of ReMA.
