UPDATE: After the Texas Supreme Court handed down an 8-0 ruling in favor of our client Cash Biz (SEE BELOW), petitioners filed a petition with the United States Supreme Court. A petition for a writ of certiorari was filed on May 24, 2018 and it was distributed among the United States Supreme Court Justices on August 15, 2018. Pat Gaas, Sam Arora and Ed Hubbard filed letter briefing responses with the Court and on October 1, 2018, the United States Supreme Court denied the petition in this matter. After a long and hard-fought battle, it was a tremendous victory for our client at the United States Supreme Court level.
