The Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) in the U.S. Department of Labor is requesting an extension for the currently approved VETS-4212 Report. No changes are proposed. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, a notice was published in the Federal Register on November 28, 2023, allowing for comments until January 29, 2024.

The VETS-4212 Report must be filed if a business has a current federal contract or subcontract worth $150,000 or more, regardless of the number of employees. The reports are annually filed between August 1 and September 30. Contractors must select a date between July 1 and August 31 that represents the end of a payroll period in the reporting year to use as the date for reporting on employees. The previous 12 months are used as the “reporting period” for purposes of providing information on hires. Contractors are permitted to use December 31 of the previous year as the payroll ending date to align with EEO-1 reporting.

DCI will continue to monitor any further developments.
