Falsified documents have been used to support (or defend against) legal claims for hundreds of years. While analysis may once have focussed areas such as handwriting, the composition of ink or the alignment of typewriter hammer keys, current analysis is more typically performed on the binary data of electronic files.

With the pace of fraud accelerating (not least due to the Covid-19 pandemic) analysis of manipulated or fabricated documents is becoming increasingly valuable. Extracting the facts of a documents history or creation can prove key in demonstrating a document has been falsified.

Join our experts from OpenText and Eversheds Sutherland to learn the importance of investigating falsified documents. Using tips and tricks developed from real world cases they will demonstrate how digital forensic experts uncover the truth about fraudulent files.
