March 26th, 2024
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) requires health plans and insurers to offer mental health coverage in “parity” with a plan’s medical or surgical coverage. In 2024, as the post-COVID era brings a national reckoning with mental health issues, mental health parity has risen to the forefront of federal and state regulatory priorities. Significant changes to mental health parity are expected in 2024 and beyond, as federal and state agencies move to enforce existing requirements and finalize proposed regulations. At the same time, federal courts continue to grapple with increasing private litigation driven by alleged violations of MHPAEA rules.
In a new webinar, Manatt will map the current regulatory and litigation landscape and its implications for stakeholders and look ahead at how to prepare your organization for upcoming developments and challenges. Click here to register for the free webinar.
