A year after COVID-19 shuttered doors and opened a new world of online remote learning, K-12 schools, colleges, and universities are facing an increase in the number and type of student accommodation requests. The 2020 shift to remote learning revealed opportunities for student accommodations that may have seemed implausible before the pandemic. As the education world returns to campus, schools are balancing the desire for normalcy and in-person learning with the new reality that remote learning is not as out-of-reach as once thought possible.

Join our education attorneys for a free, one-hour webinar that will provide a lively debate between the two sides. Should schools prioritize maximum flexibility in granting student accommodation requests in a post-pandemic world? Or should they exercise caution before granting new types of accommodations? Our attorneys will explore real-life examples and will analyze the various considerations that should be part of the decision-making process. We will also discuss some “best practices” and tips on incorporating these practices into day-to-day operations.

This webinar will address issues facing K-12 schools, colleges, and universities under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the equal access provisions under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
