Practice/Organization Description
Mintz Levin brings a unique mix of skills and resources to the practice of communications law. Our communications group includes numerous former government officials who have first hand familiarity with the telecommunications and mass media industries, and the legal frameworks and policy processes that shape them. Our attorneys understand that the formulation of communications policy is often a function of the interaction of regulators and lawmakers, and we offer clients an understanding, often drawn from personal experience, of the institutions and people that shape these policies. We have not only the substantive expertise that results from decades of practice in the field, but the additional resources of Mintz Levin's corporate, litigation, antitrust, intellectual property, and real estate groups, enabling the firm to meet the increasingly sophisticated business needs of communications companies, ranging from acquisitions and sales to antitrust counseling and the structuring of new telecommunications ventures.
We serve our communications clients from our Washington, New York, Boston and Los Angeles offices. Our Washington office consists of more than 60 Mintz Levin attorneys and senior professionals. From its original base in legislative representation and communications law, this office has developed a full-service capability that includes corporate, health care, litigation, antitrust, and energy matters. In all of these fields, we stress the proactive practice of law that has become Mintz Levin's trademark.
