2023 EEO-1 Reporting Deadline Upcoming and EEOC Files Suit to Enforce Compliance

Tuesday, June 4, 2024, is the deadline to submit and certify the 2023 EEO-1 Component 1 Report to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). While the deadline has been extended occasionally in prior years, no such announcement has been made to date. Accordingly, all covered employers should take steps to comply by the deadline.

The importance of meeting this annual reporting requirement was further emphasized this week when the EEOC filed suit against 15 employers in various industries across 10 states for failing to submit their EEO-1 Component 1 Reports for past years, including for the years 2021 and 2022.
