Alabama’s Safer at Home Order, issued on May 8, 2020, encourages everyone in the state to minimize travel beyond the home, especially if sick; wear a face covering around people from other households; frequently wash their hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer; refrain from touching their face; sneeze and cough into a tissue or inside their elbow; and disinfect used items
and surfaces as much as possible. People who havetested positive for COVID-19 must remain quarantined at their residence for 14 days.
Effective May 11, 2020, all non-work related gatherings of any size that may not maintain a consistent 6 foot distance between persons from different households are prohibited.
