This memorandum provides a brief overview of the Companies Regulations 2015 published by Abu Dhabi Global Market on 14 June 2015. The Companies Regulations set out the framework for companies to establish themselves in ADGM. They are based on the United Kingdom’s Companies Act 2006, which are widely known and used in international business. However, there are some variations to account for the particularities of ADGM as all as improvements in line with global best practices.
