The Mississippi Commission on Environmental Quality (“MCEQ”) and Blue Mountain Production Company (“Blue Mountain”) entered into a September 26th Agreed Order (“AO”) addressing alleged violations of a Title V Operating Permit (“Permit”). See Order No. 6896 18.
The Blue Mountain facility is stated to hold a Title V Operating Permit (No. 2620-00003).
MCEQ is stated to have identified alleged violations during a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (“CEI”) conducted at the Taylor and Plant Property Mine facility on August 24, 2017. The alleged violations include:

Failure to comply with Condition 5.D.1 (CAM plant for Emission Point AA-001): The CAM plan for the facility’s RVM dryer and scrubber requires that scrubber pressure-drop and water flow rate be monitored continuously.

Failure to comply with Condition 5.D.2 (CAM plan for Emission Points AA-002, AA-003, AA-004, and AA-005): Pressure drop readings are stated to have not been provided for June 2015 to August 2017, and continuous monitoring resumed September 18, 2017.

Failure to comply with Condition 5.A.3 (Recordkeeping requirement)
Blue Mountain is stated to have provided documentation dated December 7, 2017, and July 25, 2018, of changes implemented to address the referenced violations and asserts that the facility has returned to compliance.
A penalty of $44,875 is assessed.
