The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s FAMLI Division issued a reminder this week to all Colorado employers and third party administrators that premium payments and wage reports for Q1 2023 are due April 30, 2023.  The FAMLI division is permitting employers and administrators a 30-day grace period to May 31, 2023 for final submissions.

Specific information about file templates and uploading wage reports can be found on the third-party-administrator (link to Third Party Administrators (TPAs) | Family and Medical Leave Insurance (colorado.gov)) and employer (link to Employers | Family and Medical Leave Insurance (colorado.gov)) pages on famli.colorado.gov.  The Division also reminded all individuals manually entering wage data on My FAMLI+ Employer to round DOWN to the nearest penny, due to an existing software issue.

Finally, the Division announced that several insurance carriers submitted proposed private FAMLI plans to the state for review and approval.  The list is available here (link to Private Plans | Family and Medical Leave Insurance (colorado.gov)).

Premium collection for FAMLI began January 1, 2023, and FAMLI benefits first become available January 1, 2024.
