  • California AG Rob Bonta settled with StubHub, Inc., to resolve allegations that it failed to pay refunds for canceled events during the COVID-19 pandemic in violation of state consumer protection law.
  • According to the complaint, StubHub allegedly failed to provide “FanProtect Guarantee” full refunds of ticket purchase prices and fees for events cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and offered to credit customers’ accounts instead.
  • Under the terms of the settlement, StubHub must fully refund eligible consumers and pay $295,000 in civil penalties.
