If you’ve watched the news, you probably heard about the on-again/off-again changes to California’s workplace regulations.

Just last week, Cal/OSHA voted to adopt revisions to Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 regulations, which were set to take effect on June 15, 2021.

However, last night (June 9, 2021), the Cal/OSHA Board voted to withdraw the revised regulations following a public meeting attended by workers, industry leaders, employers, and others, that shared their views on the revised regulations for over two and half hours.

The Board could consider new revisions as early as June 17. However, as of now, the current version of the regulations, that went into effect in November 2020, is controlling.

We all wish for more clarity, but for now it’s just “stay tuned.”
