Was There a CDK Global Data Breach?

According to the most recent sources, CDK became aware that they were breached on June 18, 2024, prompting the company to shut down its data centers and IT systems. These actions, while necessary to protect the information in the company’s possession, had a profound impact on the company’s 15,000+ car dealerships that use CDK software.
CDK was in the process of bringing its systems back online on Wednesday when they were once again forced to shut down their systems due to another cybersecurity incident. In fact, in subsequent notification, CDK explained, “We are sorry to inform you that we experienced an additional cyber incident late in the evening on June 19th.”
