The disputed technology relates to a flexible elongated connection unit for stabilizing a human spine. The following terms were construed:

  3. A longitudinally compressible spacer
  4. The spacer metallic portion
  5. The spacer rigid portion
  6. An inner bore extending the length
  7. A distal portion
  8. A proximal portion
