Viridi Wireless Plans Cornish, NH Balloon Test for June 17, 2019
Viridi Wireless, LLC ("Viridi") is proposing to construct a 170' self-support monopole communications tower and associated compound at 200 Burr Road, Cornish, NH, Tax Map 16, Lot 60A, on property of Cara and Thomas Decato (the "Project"). The purpose of the Project is to introduce AT&T wireless communications service to Cornish Flats and the surrounding area, including for first responders through the federal FirstNet program. The Project has received a special exception and variance from the Cornish Zoning Board of Adjustment; a site plan review application before the Cornish Planning Board is scheduled for public hearing on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Town Hall, 488 Town House Road.
To allow abutting property owners and others to assess the visual effect of the Project, Viridi has scheduled a balloon test at the site of the proposed Project on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 8am - 12 pm, with a backup date of Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 8am – 12pm. A balloon will be flown at 170 feet and will be photographed from public areas within two miles of the Site.
Due to the variable weather conditions in New Hampshire that can affect balloon test conditions, the exact date of the balloon test will need to be determined by Viridi’s consultant. Confirmation of the final date will also be provided to the Planning Board’s Recording Secretary.
