"Gather ye Rose-buds while ye may"

The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation has gathered and posted a florilegium of new laws that may be of interest to its licensees.  "Florilegium" means a gathering or compendium of writings.  It is derived from the Latin word florilegus, meaning flower gathering (flos, meaning flower + legere, meaning to gather).  A synonym for "florilegium" is "anthology" which also has its roots in flowers.  "Anthology" is derived from two Greek words (ἄνθος, meaning flower + λέγειν, meaning to gather).
