On September 23, 2022, Diodes Incorporated confirmed that the company experienced a data breach after consumer data entrusted to the company was accessible to an unauthorized party. While details about the breach are still sparse, according to Diodes Inc., the breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, state identification numbers, health information and insurance information belonging to affected parties being compromised. Recently, Diodes Inc. sent out data breach letters to all parties whose information was included in the breach, informing them of the incident and what they can do to protect themselves from identity theft and other frauds.

What We Know About the Diodes Inc. Data Breach

News of the Diodes data breach only recently broke, and the company has not yet posted a public notice on its website explaining what led to the incident. However, the company’s filing with the Attorney General of Texas provides a few important details.

For example, upon learning of the breach, Diodes Inc. then reviewed the affected files to determine what information was compromised and which consumers were impacted. While the breached information varies depending on the individual, it may include your name, address, Social Security number, driver’s license number, state identification number, medical information and health insurance information.

Unfortunately, at this point, nothing is known about the causes of the incident or whether the breach occurred within Diodes Inc. servers or at a third party. However, it has been confirmed that information belonging to Diodes, Inc. customers has been compromised.
