We are pleased to spotlight Shareholder Heather DiPietrantonio this month! Heather works in the Biotechnology group in our Boston office.
How long have you been at Wolf Greenfield?
I’ve worked at Wolf Greenfield for a lucky 13 years.
How has being authentic helped you in your career?
Staying true to myself has helped me align my career goals with my values and interests, guide others along their career paths in a similar way, and build trust among colleagues and clients. The day-to-day feels more meaningful and fulfilling when I am just being myself.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
Learning something new, meeting someone new, connecting with friends and
colleagues, and returning home to my husband and son.
What has been your favorite project/assignment at Wolf Greenfield?
I can’t pick just one, but I love working with innovative biotech startup companies. I’m always amazed by the creativity, dedication, and perseverance at the heart of them. The positive vibe/energy/whatever-you-want-to-call-it is contagious.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I have built nearly everything in the LEGO® Botanical Collection. I love LEGO.
Can you share information about the Women’s Leadership Initiative group you started at Wolf Greenfield?
I’m very excited about this. It is a restart/rebrand of our original Women’s Group started by other women at the firm when I was an associate, with a focus on women owning, defining, developing, and excelling in their career. We recently completed our mission statement, which includes, in part, bringing together our female practitioners to create opportunities for their professional growth and leadership development, ensuring they have the resources, mentorship, and sponsorship needed to excel. We are dedicated to dismantling gender barriers to advancement and advocating for policies and practices that enable women to achieve their full potential.
Any other information about yourself you would like to share?
When I was an associate, a mentor of mine told me to “own it” – whatever it is I want, whatever it is I do. I live by those words. And I have since learned that does not mean I have to own it alone.
