DTE Energy (DTE) announced recently that it has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for the construction of a 5-50 MW solar generating facility.

While DTE is seeking proposals for projects in the city of Detroit as well as surrounding communities, ultimately, the project must only be within DTE’s service area. Further, the project must be operational by December 31, 2016.

“DTE is the largest investor in solar in the state,” said Irene Dimitry, DTE Energy vice president, Business Planning & Development. “The development of a new solar project reflects DTE Energy’s broader commitment to build a more sustainable future for our customers.”

Notices of intent to bid are due by Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Further information on this RFP can be found by visiting the DTE bid opportunities website by clicking here.
