On December 30, 2024, President Biden issued an Executive Order closing all executive departments and agencies of the federal government on January 9, 2025, in observance of a national day of mourning for former President James Earl Carter, Jr. Following this Executive Order, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced that the EDGAR filing system will be closed on January 9, 2025, and Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) announced the closure of their equity and options markets on that day. The Nasdaq announcement is available here and the NYSE announcement is available here. As a reminder, this means that on January 9, 2025, filings will not be accepted in EDGAR, EDGAR filing websites will not be operational, and EDGAR Filer Support will be closed. EDGAR will resume normal operations on Friday, January 10, 2025. Any filings required to be made no later than January 9, 2025, will be considered timely if filed on or before January 10, 2025.
