Don't break it – rest periods have to be uninterrupted

In Crawford v Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, the EAT has confirmed that compensatory rest breaks must be for an uninterrupted period of 20 minutes, even if the employee can take more than 20 minutes rest in total over a working day.
