Join Greg Sullivan and Matt Maslow from Deloitte, as they showcase how they have harnessed Generative AI to overcome some of the most persistent challenges in eDiscovery review. Drawing from their experience building a custom solution for their eDiscovery team, they will demonstrate how Generative AI can be tooled with existing eDiscovery technology to conduct relevance and privilege review, identify PII, extract content, create document summaries, and more. This session promises to be a deep dive into the transformative potential of Generative AI, illuminating its role as a game-changer in the legal industry.

Meet your presenters:

Greg is a Partner and the National Co-Leader of Deloitte’s Discovery and Legal Project Solutions team. He regularly advises clients on matters relating to the eDiscovery process and oversees teams of project managers and contract legal professionals on complex document review, due diligence, and investigation matters. Greg has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 as one of the leading eDiscovery experts in Canada. He is also the recipient of the 2022 Lexology Client Choice Award for eDiscovery Practitioners in Canada. Greg is the Past Chair of the Ontario Digital Evidence and eDiscovery Working Group and a member of the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee of the Ontario Civil Rules Committee.

Matt is a Director and the eDiscovery Innovation Leader at Deloitte Canada. He regularly consults with clients on complex matters, including the use of Generative AI and machine learning in litigation, regulatory issues, investigations, and data extraction. With over 10 years of experience in legal project management, Matt specializes in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address novel use cases. Matt serves as the Chair of the Ontario Digital Evidence and eDiscovery Working Group and is a drafting team member for the Sedona Canada Commentaries on Discovery of Social Media and Artificial Intelligence

Matt is Certified eDiscovery Specialist, and a licensed lawyer in both the United States and Canada. Matt's dual legal and technical expertise allows him to offer a unique perspective on the application of technology solutions in the legal field.
