Fairfax County’s land use systems — including zoning, site plan, permitting and inspections — will be offline from Oct. 21-31, 2022, for a major system update. This also could impact functionality in the weeks after the upgrade.

Anyone working in Fairfax County should strongly consider submitting any plans, permit requests and inspection requests by Oct. 14 (i.e., one week prior to the outage). There are currently no workarounds outside of emergency situations.

For details, see Fairfax County’s outline about the outage.

DISCLAIMER: Because of the generality of this update, the information provided herein may not be applicable in all situations and should not be acted upon without specific legal advice based on particular situations.
