FERC Approves Regional Reliability Standard BAL-001-TRE-2

On June 19, 2020, in Docket No. RD20-5-000, FERC issued a letter order approving regional Reliability Standard BAL-001-TRE-2 (Primary Frequency Response in the ERCOT Region). Regional Reliability Standard BAL-001-TRE-2 improves upon the currently effective version of the regional standard by: (i) clarifying performance requirements for steam turbines of combined cycle facilities; and (ii) clarifying the responsible entity for addressing Frequency Measurable Event exclusion requests. Additionally, revisions and clarifications are made in the Primary Frequency Response Reference Document.
