The Florida House Business and Professions Subcommittee will consider two beer bills today. In addition, the Senate Committee on Regulated Industries will also hear its version of those two bills today.
House Bill 301 would legalize the sales of 64 ounce growlers but requires that all such containers, regardless of size, include a label identifying the manufacturer and the brand of the malt beverage. The container must be sealed to prevent immediate consumption.
House Bill 107 would allow malt beverage manufacturers who meet certain requirements to sell directly to consumers without having to first obtain a vendor license. The exception applies to both on-site and off-site consumption. The bill would also ban breweries from hosting beer tastings.
