U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has completed the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) H-1B lottery for both regular H-1B cap beneficiaries, as well as advanced degree (master’s) cap beneficiaries. Those registrants who were selected have been notified through the email address used for the organizational account. Petitioner’s may begin filing H-1B Petitions right away.

It is possible that a second selection will occur sometime over the summer. Most petitioners must file for their selected beneficiaries by June 30, 2025. At that time, If USCIS determines it did not select enough registrants to reach the fiscal year FY26 H-1B numerical allocations, it will conduct a second selection.

USCIS has also rolled out their new online filing system that may be a good option for those beneficiaries not filing for dependents in conjunction with their application.

H-1B registrants who were not selected in the FY26 CAP lottery should consult with their immigration attorney to determine how to proceed.
