According to this source, HawaiiUSA recently completed its investigation into a recent cybersecurity incident in which an unauthorized party was able to access an employee’s email account. Evidently, HawaiiUSA first learned of the issue on December 12, 2022, which prompted the company to conduct an investigation with the assistance of a cybersecurity firm.

The HawaiiUSA investigation confirmed that one or more unauthorized parties were able to access the employee’s email account as the result of a successful social engineering attack.
