Kayne Anderson (KA) Real Estate has acquired a healthcare portfolio from Welltower, according to a news release.

KA Real Estate is the real estate private equity arm of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors.

The portfolio is comprised of 27 medical office buildings located across the country and seven seniors housing communities in Florida.

Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, founded in 1984 and based in Los Angeles, is an alternative investment management firm.

Welltower (NYSE: WELL) is a real estate investment trust based in Toledo, Ohio. The company invests with seniors housing operators, post-acute providers and health systems.
