  • A group of 29 Republican state and territorial AGs sent a letter to federal officials and agencies urging them stop the marketing and sale of illegal Chinese e-cigarettes in the United States.
  • In the letter, the AGs advocate for increased roles for Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security in enforcement, designate a federal leader for coordinated efforts on this issue, and prosecute and impose penalties for violators.
  • In other enforcement news, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison settled with an e-cigarette company that allegedly sold products that mimic highlighters and are designed to be easily concealed and used by children in violation of state consumer protection laws.
  • We have previously reported on the New York AG’s lawsuit against 13 e-cigarette companies, coordinated effortsby a bipartisan group of ten AGs, and C.’s settlement with a company that allegedly facilitated the sale of Zyn flavored nicotine pouches.
