The Infosys McCamish Systems data breach was previously reported; however, New York Life Group Benefit Solutions and T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services, Inc. were recently added as affected entities. Evidently, IMS provides administrative services to these organizations, which is how it obtained customer information. According to IMS’s filing with the Attorney General of Maine, between October 29, 2023 and November 2, 2023, an unauthorized party was able to access Infosys McCamish Systems’ IT network. IMS learned about this incident on November 2, 2023, at which point the company hired third-party cybersecurity specialists to assist with its investigation.
Ultimately, the IMS investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to access certain files on its system containing confidential consumer information.
