On November 23, 2022, Ingalls & Snyder, LLC reported a data breach with the Vermont Attorney General after an unauthorized party was able to bypass the company’s data security system and access sensitive client information stored on the company’s computer network. According to Ingalls & Snyder, the breach resulted in the first and last names, Social Security numbers, Ingalls & Snyder account numbers, bank account numbers, dates of birth, and driver’s license photos being compromised. Recently, Ingalls & Snyder sent out data breach letters to all affected parties, informing them of the incident and what they can do to protect themselves from identity theft and other frauds.
