Reopening Timeline

On Friday, June 12, LA County permitted several additional business sectors to reopen, pursuant to the Governor’s order moving the state toward Phase 3 of his Recovery Roadmap and LA County guidance issued last week. The newly permitted sectors are:

  • Gyms and fitness facilities
  • Professional sports without live audiences
  • Day camps
  • Museums, galleries, zoos and aquariums
  • Campgrounds, RV parks and outdoor recreation
  • Music, film and television production
  • Hotels, lodging and short-term rentals for tourism and individual travel

Specific sector guidance is also posted.

As they reopen, businesses will also need to continue to comply with state health guidance on safety precautions.

Notably, also on June 12, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that the City would be updating its Stay at Home Order in an effort to bring the City closer in line with the County’s newly-permitted reopenings.

Changes in Law—Food Delivery

On Tuesday, June 9, the LA County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion to prepare an ordinance to cap third-party delivery fees, which would apply to the unincorporated areas of the county. The City has already enacted a similar measure. More information is available here.
