What Caused the LOGE Camps Data Breach?

The Loge Holdings data breach was only recently announced, and more information is expected in the near future. However, LOGE’s filing with the Attorney General of Montana provides some important information on what led up to the breach. According to this source, on December 15, 2023, LOGE detected suspicious activity within its email system. In response, Loge notified law enforcement, secured its network, and then launched an investigation to learn more about the incident and what, if any, consumer information may have been compromised.

Through this investigation, LOGE learned that an unauthorized party was able to access certain email accounts containing confidential consumer information between the dates of November 27, 2023, and December 15, 2023.

After learning that sensitive consumer data was accessible to an unauthorized party, Loge Holdings reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. While the breached information varies depending on the individual, it may include your name, Social Security number, financial account information, payment card information, driver’s license, passport number, medical information, health information, electronic signature, and date of birth.

On August 23, 2024, Loge Holdings sent out data breach letters to anyone who was affected by the recent data security incident. These letters should provide victims with a list of what information belonging to them was compromised.
