The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) cited Anderson Foot and Ankle Clinic (“AFAC”) for alleged violations of the hazard communication standard.
AFAC is stated to be a Rolla, Missouri podiatry clinic.
OSHA inspectors are stated to have cited AFAC for:

Improperly handling medical waste

Failure to review the exposure control plan annually

Failure to provide vaccines for employees exposed to bloodborne pathogens

Failure to update safety data sheets

Lacking a list of hazardous chemicals used in the workplace
A penalty of $93,074 has been proposed.
The company has 15 business days from receipt of the citations to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
