On June 15, 2023, Mondelēz Global LLC filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after the company learned that an incident at a law firm employed by the company resulted in Mondelēz employee data being accessible to an unauthorized party. News of the Mondelēz International data breach is still fresh; however, what we know at this point comes from the company’s filing with the Attorney General of Maine. According to this source, Mondelēz retained the services of the law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (“Bryan Cave”) to provide advice on customary legal matters. On February 27, 2023, Bryan Cave detected suspicious activity within its IT network.
